The Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp sits in a secluded section of the national park – but it’s also right in the heart of the action. Nestled on the banks of the Grumeti River, which is chockfull of chortling hippos, it’s on the path of the annual Great Migration: from April to July/August and again from November to December, the surrounding plains are ribboned with wildebeest. The camp’s opulent stilted tents, expansive lounge, dining room and sunset lookout have all been positioned so you can dine, drink and relax with wonderful views over the wilderness. And while game drives from here are second to none – there’s the chance to see everything from the Big 5 to over 500 species of birds.
- Prime position for the Great Migration – dramatic river crossings on the doorstep
- On the banks of the Grumeti river, with resident hippo’s making their presence known
- Opulent stilted tents
- Away from the crowds, in an exclusive, secluded spot
- Brilliant Big Five game drives year-round
