Wild romance

The sun sinking into the endless plains; sky blush-pink, glasses chink and (at least it seems) no one else around for miles… There are few experiences more magical, more memorable than a sundowner for two in the African bush. When it feels like the wilderness has put on a show just for you, as you toast the day’s end together with your favourite tipple.

Well, that’s just another evening on a SkySafari. Because our journeys ooze romance. Every lodge we use is supremely seductive. Whether the feel is high glamour or rustic-luxe, each suite has its special touches, from net-draped four-posters and petal-strewn baths to crackling fires and verandas with enormous views. You can even spend the night right under the stars.

Plus, we can arrange all manner of little surprises. We can bring you breakfast in bed or serve up brunch for two in the wild. We can whisk you off for private sundowners or set up an intimate dinner – just you, a good bottle of wine and the spine-tingling sounds of the bush.

Sharing adventures

While you’re guaranteed to have peaceful, personal moments on your SkySafari, you’ll also feel the joyous camaraderie that comes from exploring as part of our small groups.

To give all of our guests a more exclusive experience, our lodges are in private conservancies or tucked-away corners of popular parks. That means you and your fellow SkySafari travellers will often feel like you have the bush to yourselves. On our game drives and walking safaris, you’ll get to share the unexpected, the sublime and the ridiculously good game encounters with your new friends. And at the end of the day you can gather around the campfire, with a G&T or two, to re-live the highlights – one of a good safari’s greatest pleasures.

But there are also opportunities to try new things. You could go mountain-biking down a valley or horse-trekking amid herds of zebra. You could get massages in a spa (listening to the hippos chortle outside) or head out with an expert guide to learn how to fish. Spending time learning, seeing, feeling and doing together, in these most magnificent of surrounds, will be times you never forget.
